    Building Stronger Communities

At Regal Estates we believe strong communities are built through long-term investment in people, opportunity, and local development – values that closely align with both property and community life.

As a business that has served Northwest London for many years, we understand that thriving neighbourhoods are shaped not only by homes and property, but by the organisations, facilities, and grassroots initiatives that bring people together and help future generations flourish.

We are therefore proud to support Brondesbury Cricket Club, one of the area’s longest established and most respected cricket clubs, with a history dating back to 1887.

    Supporting Future Cricketers

Located just a short distance from our head office premises in Willesden, the club has longstanding ties to our local community that we have proudly worked within for many years.

Brondesbury Cricket Club continues to play a vital role in developing grassroots cricket across Northwest London, providing opportunities for players of all ages and abilities.

The club places particular emphasis on youth development, colts cricket, and the continued growth of girls’ and women’s cricket, helping create opportunities and pathways for future generations to become involved in the sport.

Our support contributes towards junior development programmes, cricket equipment, facilities, and coaching initiatives, helping provide young players with access to quality training, mentorship, and a positive sporting environment.

    A Legacy of Cricket Talent

Among its most notable former players is Mike Gatting OBE, one of England’s most respected cricketers and former national captain. Gatting enjoyed an outstanding international career spanning over a decade, representing England in 79 Test matches and 92 One Day Internationals.

Renowned for his leadership, determination, and batting ability, he captained England during the 1980s and remains one of the most recognisable figures in English cricket history. His connection to Brondesbury Cricket Club highlights the calibre of players associated with the club throughout its history.

    A Club Built on Excellence

The club has also been represented by Sourav Ganguly, affectionately known worldwide as the “Maharaja of Indian Cricket.” Ganguly is widely regarded as one of India’s greatest-ever captains and is credited with transforming the mentality and competitiveness of the Indian national side during the early 2000s. A prolific left-handed batsman and inspirational leader, he played over 400 international matches for India and later became President of the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI), further cementing his influence on the global game.

Other distinguished players connected with Brondesbury Cricket Club include:

    • Dermot Reeve – former England international and accomplished all-rounder, recognised for his influential county cricket career with Warwickshire.
    • Nick Compton – former England opening batsman and grandson of legendary cricketer Denis Compton, who enjoyed a successful county career with Middlesex and Somerset.
    • Billy Godleman – highly respected county cricketer and long-serving captain of Derbyshire County Cricket Club.
    • John Simpson – accomplished wicketkeeper-batsman and former Middlesex captain, widely regarded for his consistency and leadership.
    • Glenn Phillips – explosive New Zealand international cricketer known globally for his dynamic batting and athletic fielding across all formats of the game.
    • Finn Allen – exciting New Zealand international opening batsman recognised for his aggressive stroke play and performances in international T20 cricket.
    • Dilip Doshi – former Indian Test cricketer and one of India’s finest left-arm spin bowlers during the late 1970s and 1980s.
    • Devang Gandhi – former Indian international opening batsman who represented India in Test cricket.
    • Mark Alleyne – former England international and highly respected county captain, best known for his achievements with Gloucestershire during one of the club’s most successful eras.
    • Rajesh Maru – highly regarded figure within club cricket circles and part of Brondesbury’s long-standing cricketing heritage.

The presence of players of this calibre demonstrates Brondesbury Cricket Club’s enduring ability to develop, attract, and nurture talent capable of reaching the very highest levels of professional and international cricket.

The club’s achievements – including three Middlesex Premier League titles, six Middlesex Cup victories, and two Evening Standard Trophy wins at The Oval – reflect a proud history built on success, development, and sporting excellence.

For Regal Estates, the values represented by Brondesbury Cricket Club strongly resonate with our own approach as a business. Just as the club has a long-standing reputation for identifying, nurturing, and developing future sporting talent, we believe in recognising potential, investing in people, and supporting long-term growth within our own team and the wider community.

Brondesbury Cricket Club has always been far more than simply a cricket club – it is a cornerstone of the local community and a place where talent, ambition, and character continue to be developed both on and off the field.

Regal Estates is proud to support an organisation that shares so many of the values we believe are essential to building strong communities and lasting futures.
